Derick Boston, CPA earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Accounting from the University of South Florida in August 1985. Mr. Boston is a certified public accountant licensed by the State of Florida since July 1988. He worked 10 years with the Florida Department of Revenue as a Sales & Use and Corporate Income Tax auditor. Thereafter, Mr. Boston worked for over 12 years with the Florida Auditor General, Sarasota and Tampa Office, auditing district school boards, colleges, universities, and other governmental agencies. He served as the lead senior auditor on a number of audits. In September 2015, Mr. Boston founded his CPA firm in Palmetto, Florida. He practices in all areas of business accounting, nonprofit accounting, compilations of financial statements, sales and use tax reporting as well as business and individual income tax return preparation. Mr. Boston is a member of the American Institute of Professional Bookkeepers and National Association of Tax Professionals.
